Some cemeteries will permit a full covering of the chosen burial plot for a kerb memorial. The headstones are commonly fitted to the kerbs or mounted on to a matching base at the head of the grave. Kerb length is determined by the overall size of the grave space. Depending on the relevant regulations and requirements, memorials are fixed on to a reinforced concrete foundation.
